Manitoba Film & Music (MFM) exists so that our film and music recording industries flourish. MFM participates in the on-going development of Manitoba’s Motion Pictures and Music industries by way of equity investments, loans, recoupable advances and financial contributions in the areas of development, production and marketing. As well, MFM administers the Manitoba Film and Video Production Tax Credit, which is a tax credit of up to 65%* (*base rate of 45%, plus eligible bonuses). The tax credit was designed to create economic and employment growth in the province. MFM welcomes international and inter-provincial co-production opportunities. MFM assists offshore production companies by providing free location scouting services. With an extensive location photo library, MFM will scout locations for any film projects. Manitoba Film & Music is a statutory corporation funded by the Province of Manitoba through the Department of Culture, Heritage, Tourism and Sport.
